since 2019, the Brigitte Bardot Foundation has supported organizations that aim to protect elephants exploited for tourism in Sri Lanka by involving the local community.

the foundation's goals are to rehabilitate and reintroduce captured elephants into the wild and bring awareness to this cause which sometimes does not have the fundamental light shining on.

additionally, the goal is to elucidate what happens to elephants and have a call to action to implement their rights.
